Packaging Redesign Earns Tequila Avión and Smurfit Westrock Global Recognition

Tequila Avión needed to adjust its packaging which required managing three separate components: the corrugated box and two different sized internal dividers. These three packaging SKUs had to be produced, stored and shipped independently. This setup created inefficiencies such as excess inventory, high minimum order quantities for inserts, additional storage space and increased logistics complexity. The customer also wanted to upgrade the packaging with higher-quality color printing.

Our structural and graphic design teams worked together to develop a solution for Tequila Avión. By integrating the dividers into the corrugated box, our package simplifies inventory management, transportation, packaging SKU storage, pack station readiness and final assembly. The pack also elevates the visual identity of Tequila Avión through advanced digital printing technology. This high-quality printing not only enhances shelf presence but also reflects the brand’s premium positioning and attention to detail. The digital process allows for flexibility in production and ensures superior color accuracy, helping the product stand out in competitive retail environments.

Tequila Avion’s new integrated premium packaging delivered a more efficient and sustainable solution that optimized operations, reduced carbon emissions and won a 2026 WorldStar award.
